On Tuesday Feb 17 Elsevier Canada will be hosting a one day workshop called "Enhancing the Teaching and Learning Environment through the use of Technology".
- Determine what opportunities exist within faculty to use e-learning effectively in health education.
- Explore the opportunity to “customize” the learning environment and have a greater sense of all
your students learning needs.
- Collaborate with peers in strategic planning and the sharing of ideas around e-learning implementation
at your institution.
Facilitated by June MacDonald Jenkins*, this workshop will provide you with concrete ideas of how to use and integrate technology into your curriculum. Any instructor, who is presently using an online course or considering it, will benefit from this conference. Ideas for integration of Health Assessment Online and Nursing Skills Online into curriculum will be featured.

*June MacDonald Jenkins RN, BScN, MSc . PhD (student) is a nurse educator and e-Learning Specialist who has taught traditional, blended and online courses. June was instrumental at the University of Ontario, Institute of Technology in moving the nursing program to hybrid learning environments. She has recently been seconded by the university to work in their Innovation Center of Academic Excellence department as a Learning Technologies Facilitator. The focus of her research has been on the integration of simulation and interactive learning environments into Nursing Curriculum to facilitate clinical decision making based on discovery, clarity and inquiry.
