*June MacDonald Jenkins RN, BScN, MSc. PhD (student) is a nurse educator and e-Learning Specialist who has taught traditional, blended and online courses. June was instrumental at Durham College/University of Ontario, Institute of Technology in moving several nursing courses to a hybrid learning environment. She was seconded by Durham College / UOIT to work in their Innovation Centre of Academic Excellence as a Learning Technologies Facilitator for two years. The focus of her PhD research has been on the integration of simulation and interactive learning environments into Nursing Curriculum to facilitate clinical decision making based on discovery, clarity and inquiry. June presently works in the Office of Research Services and Innovations at Durham College.
June consults with health sciences faculties across the country to help with the integration of technology into curricula. In 2009 she spoke at numerous Elsevier-sponsored faculty development workshops and gave hands-on advice on using the tools that Elsevier provides in instruction. These E3 events have been tremendously popular and more are scheduled to be hosted in 2010.
